As an award-winning Costume Designer trained in making, Susan has an excellent understanding of the methods of garment construction, crucial in realising designs within realistic timeframes and budgets, whilst not compromising on quality and aesthetics. She prides herself on creating consistently beautiful and original costumes.

Susan’s current projects include Costume Designing Remember a brand new Disney-Pixar show for the eagerly awaited Adventure cruise ship ( Autumn 2025) directed by Thom Southerland; Elvis Evolution an immersive VR experience for Layered Reality directed by Jack Pirie ( London, July 2025); Secret Cinema presents Grease (Summer 2025).
Indigo a new musical at the Curve, Leicester (June 2025); Footballer’s Wives’ the musical directed by Anthony Banks (Edinburgh Festival) and Punchdrunk’s new show in Abu Dhabi (opening Spring 2027).

Susan read English at Somerville College, Oxford University. She was then awarded the Edith Horseman Travelling Fellowship to explore costumes of the world. She subsequently gained a Distinction in her Postgraduate Certificate in Costume Design at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. She won the Peroni Nasturo Azzurro Accademia del Film Award for best Costume Design.

Susan has over 20 years' experience designing for film, television, theatre, stadium shows and high-end immersive events. She is a member of BAFTA and has sat on various judging panels including BAFTA. She is a member of the 2023 Breaking the Glass Ceiling cohort. She has her AHEA often lectures in Costume Design both in the UK and globally, often in the Middle-East.
